Moonflare – All the World is Bright with Joy and Magical Delight (2009)

Darkness, together with a million adjectives, is one of the most overused words in the music field. So it was a matter of time until someone decided to take that word to a literal level. But “All the world is bright…”, the direct result of an improvisation recorded in total darkness, by bass/guitar duo Moonflare, is in fact quite the opposite. Starting on a lo-fi-breakbeat-gone-wrong, it slowly evolves to a long and outer world space trip that sounds both eerie and revitalizing. At the end, the trip becomes what we could call a harsh come down to earth directly into a drunk lonely rant post-bar fight.Edition of 50 cd-r numbered and spray painted.To celebrate the first release of the label, some of the cds were spread for free (mostly secretly) around libraries and record stores in Berlin, London and Lisbon.
